Swimmer of the Week Diane Parker (So. –Tucker, Ga.) – East Carolina Parker captured the 200 butterfly (2:04.16) and 200-yard freestyle (1:53.07) to lead the Pirates to a 151.5-83.5 win over UNCW in dual-meet action. She was also a member of ECU’s victorious 400 medley relay, notching a split time of 55.41. She currently ranks first on the C-USA Top Times list in the 100 (54.98) and 200 (2:01.69) fly events.
Diver of the Week Yulia Pakhalina (Sr. –Penza, Russia) – Houston Pakhalina was the Cougars’ leading scorer after sweeping the springboard events against No. 23 Texas A&M last weekend. She won the three-meter board with a score of 321.07, while also claiming first-place honors on the three-meter (346.12). She was the only diver to score more than 300.00 points in each event and extended her winning streak on the three-meter board to 29 consecutive meets.
