    Swimmer of the Week (Feb. 1)
    Ann Degenstein won three individual titles against Wright State this week en route to capturing her first Conference USA weekly honor and Cincinnati's first swimming accolade of the season. Despite Degenstein's efforts, the University of Cincinnati women's swimming and diving team fell to Wright State, 141.5-98.5.

    Degenstein recorded three individual event wins in the Bearcats' dual meet on Jan. 29. The junior won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.48, the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:06.71, which is the eighth fastest time in C-USA this season, and the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:25.54. Degenstein finished the dual meet accounting for 27 of the Bearcats’ 98.5 points.

    Diver of the Week (Feb. 1)
    Louisville's Katie Elder earned her first Conference USA Diver of the Week accolade following her collegiate diving debut against Evansville this week. With the 153-82 win over visiting Evansville, the Cardinals improve to 6-4 overall this season.

    Katie Elder, Louisville, Junior - Louisville, Ky. (Louisville Eastern)

    Elder transferred from the University of Kentucky, where she was a NCAA Division I scholarship gymnast. She just recently took up the sport of diving and collected her first collegiate dual meet victory last weekend. She won the three-meter board handily with a score of 232.43, beating out her teammate by more than 12 points. Elder also finished second in the one-meter springboard to further help her Cards.
