Saint Louis' Megan Capellupo earned C-USA Swimmer of the Week honors, while Houston's Yulia Pakhalina was named the Diver of the Week.
Swimmer of the Week Megan Capellupo (So. – St. Louis, Mo.) – Saint Louis Capellupo captured two individual titles to lead Saint Louis to a 146-96 dual-meet victory over Western Illinois last week. She set a school record time of 2:23. 23 in the 200 breaststroke. She claimed first place in the individual medley event and was also part of the victorious 400 medley relay. The Billikens are undefeated in dual-meet action this season with an 11-0 record. Diver of the Week Yulia Pakhalina (Sr. –Penza, Russia) – Houston Competing in her final home meet of her career, Pakhalina swept both the one-meter and three-meter springboard events in dual-meet action against LSU. She scored 377.03 points to win the three-meter and posted a score of 337.20 to capture the one-meter board. She was the only diver to score more than 300 points in each event. It marked her 53rd and 54th victory of her collegiate career in 56 all-time outings.
