TCU Women's Swimming and Diving Capture Ninth-Straight Win
DENTON, Texas (January 15, 2003) - Sophomore Aimee Moreau (Kenner, La./St. Martin’s Episcopal) notched two individual wins and helped the TCU to a relay triumph in leading the Horned Frogs to their ninth-straight victory, a 130-92 rout of North Texas Wednesday night at the UNT Student Recreation Center.
Moreau won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events in :25.46 and :55.23, respectively, as well as helping TCU to victory in the 200 free relay (1:41.89).
Also adding a pair of individual wins for the Frogs were Conference USA Swimmer of the Week Erin Irons (Midland, Texas/Midland) and diver Codi McLamb (Amarillo, Texas/Tascosa). Irons claimed victory in the 100 backstroke (59.70) and 500 freestyle (5:14.40), while McLamb won on the one-meter (265.35) and three-meter (268.05) boards to sweep the evening’s diving events.
TCU (9-1) will look to extend its winning streak this weekend when it travels to Louisiana for a pair of dual meets. The Horned Frogs face Louisiana-Monroe Friday at 6 p.m. and Centenary Saturday at 1 p.m.
