Tulsa Softball To Host Advanced Clinic
June 12, 2007 Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa softball coaching staff and squad will host a three-day camp for high school players looking to hone their skills. Players must be on their high school varsity softball team. The camp will begin on Tuesday, June 19th then will conclude on Thursday, June 21st. Advanced skills will be taught and fine-tuned in the morning session of the camp. The afternoon sessions will consist of game situations and scrimmages. In an effort to optimize instruction and personal attention, the camp will be limited to the first 30 registries. Tulsa won both the Conference USA regular season and post-season title in its first season in the league during the 2006 campaign. This season, the Golden Hurricane reached the 30-win plateau for the sixth consecutive season. TU also finished 2007 ranked third in the country for doubles per game and was one of five schools to post over 100 doubles on the year. The cost of the camp is $185 per camper.
