DePaul faces No. 1 Michigan in game three of the NCAA Women's College World Series on Thursday evening at Hall of Fame Stadium, in Oklahoma City, Okla. The game will be nationally broadcasted on ESPN2 at 6:30 p.m., CT.
The two teams met earlier this season at the KIA Klassic in Fullerton, Calif., where the then fifth-ranked Wolverines took a 1-0 victory from the Blue Demons. The victory was part of a 32-game winning streak that Michigan (60-5) strung together during the season.
For No. 23 DePaul (45-19), this is the third time in school history that head coach Eugene Lenti has guided the Blue Demons to Oklahoma City and the second as a representative of Conference USA. The Blue Demons reached the World Series in 1999 and in 2000, the first year C-USA sponsored the sport.
The Blue Demons have lost just once in postseason play, which includes their fourth-straight C-USA Tournament title, a Region Eight crown and a two-game sweep of Northwestern in Super Regional action.
Michigan has reached the World Series eight times in school history, including three of the last four seasons.
