B>IRVING, Texas - Tulsa men's tennis team had three players in action Friday at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championship at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the TU campus. TU's duo of senior Andy Connelly and junior Ross Cunningham, the surprise of the event, run ended at the hands of the first ranked pair from Virginia, Sondev Devvarman and Treat Huey (6-2, 4-6, 6-3).

The hard fought three-set match took an hour and 40 minutes and was the last match of the day. It was the third match of the day for first ranked Devvarman of Virginia, who played two singles matches before this contest. He lost in the semifinals to Georgia's Travis Helgeson, the fourth ranked player.

In the other Tulsa action, senior Ricardo Soriano reached the semifinals of the back draw in a grueling match by defeating Bruno Agostinelli from Kentucky (7-6(1), 3-6, 7-6(8), that lasted three hours and 12 minutes. In semifinals, he fell to Ohio State's Justin Kronauge (6-3, 6-4). Interestingly, this was Kronauge's second match against a TU player; he lost to Arnau Brugues in the first round of the main draw.
