UAB Suffers Double Overtime Defeat At Clemson In NCAA Men's Soccer

Clemson, S.C.- UAB was unable to maintain its two goal lead and suffered a 3-2 double overtime loss at Clemson in the third round of the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament on Dec. 2. Clemson moves on to face Indiana in next weekend’s quarterfinal round. With the loss, the Blazers end the year at 15-6. The Blazers are now 4-4 all-time in NCAA Tournament history, with all four losses coming in overtime.

Martin Rey and Flavio Monteiro scored UAB’s goals, while Conference USA Freshman of the Year Clint Baumstark recorded eight saves in goal.
