PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE: Sean Reti, Marquette Sr., MF, Brookfield, Wis. Marquette senior midfielder SEAN RETI is the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 11. Reti scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-1 victory over Cincinnati on Nov. 11. The Bearcats entered the match having won four of their last five contests, and the victory clinched a C-USA Tournament berth for the Golden Eagles. This marks the second time this season that Reti has been honored.
DEFENSIVE: Lucas Mackanos, Charlotte So., GK, Valparaiso, Ind. Charlotte goalkeeper LUCAS MACKANOS is the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 11. This is Mackanos' third honor of the season, making him the first C-USA player to receive three honors in the same season since former 49er David Hughes won the award on Sept. 15, Oct. 13 and Nov. 3, 1997. Mackanos recorded his fourth shutout of the season (10 saves). In his last five Sunday matches, Mackanos has allowed one goal.

ROAD WARRIORS Charlotte, the fourth seed in this week's Conference USA Tournament, finished with a 4-0-1 record in road league action, compared to a 1-4-0 ledger at home.
AROUND C-USA...
CHARLOTTE Following a 1-0 win at South Florida on Nov. 11, Charlotte earns the fourth seed in this week's Conference USA Tournament in Tampa. With a 4-0-1 league road record, Charlotte is fourth team in league history to go without a road league loss. Junior forward JUAN MUNOZ-AIREY had the game-winning goal, while Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week LUCAS MACKANOS had 10 saves.
CINCINNATI Cincinnati ended its regular season with a 3-1 defeat at Marquette on Nov. 11. The Bearcats are the fifth seed in this week's Conference USA Tournament. Marquette had a 16-5 advantage in shots and a 5-4 advantage on corner kicks. The Bearcats currently lead the league in corner kicks at 6.94 per match.
DE PAUL DePaul ended its season with a 4-1 loss at Memphis on Nov. 10. PATRICK VYNKE had the Blue Demons' goal, while JASH CHAVERO had eight saves.
EAST CAROLINA East Carolina defeated No. 15 UAB, 2-0 in the Nov. 9 regular season finale for both teams. This marks the first time since 1997 that East Carolina has defeated a Top 15 team. BRIAN DEUTSCH had both goals, while R.J. MARVINNEY recorded six saves in the shutout.
LOUISVILLE Louisville and TCU battled through a pair of rain delays before the Horned Frogs prevailed, 2-1, on Nov. 11. TCU posted a 23-9 shot advantage, as GEORGE ZABANEH had the Cardinals' lone goal. SIMON BIRD is third in the league in goals (11) and fifth in points (23).
MARQUETTE Marquette clinched its berth in the C-USA Tournament with a 3-1 win over Cincinnati in the Nov. 11 regular season finale. SEAN RETI earned Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after scoring two goals against the Bearcats. Marquette posted a 16-5 advantage in shots, including a 12-2 advantage in the last 45 minutes.
MEMPHIS Memphis closed its season with a 4-1 win over DePaul on Nov. 10. LARS THORSTENSEN had two goals and an assist. SEAN FRASER added a goal and two assists and broke several school records in the process, including the single-season records for points (42) and goals (18) and also the programs all-time points total with 109, a record that had stood untouched for 11 years. The Edmonton, Alberta, native will go down as the school's second all-time leading scorer with 45 goals and finished his four-year career credited with 19 assists.
SAINT LOUIS Saint Louis clinched its second straight undisputed Conference USA regular season championship with a 3-1 win at Charlotte on Nov. 7. The Billikens have won at least a share of the last four C-USA regular season titles. SLU scored all three of its goals in a 16-minute stretch of the second half, with the high-scoring trio of DIPSY SELOLWANE, BRAD DAVIS and JACK JEWSBURY all netting goals. The Billikens 14-1-0 record is their best regular season mark since 1991.
SOUTH FLORIDA South Florida is the No. 3 seed at the Conference USA Tournament following a 1-0 loss to visiting Charlotte on Nov. 11. TROY PERKINS is third in Conference USA in saves (4.68) and second in shutouts (0.37). JASON CUDJOE is fourth in the league with 10 goals.
TCU TCU and Louisville endured two rain delays before the Horned Frogs prevailed with a 2-1 victory in the Nov. 11 season finale for both teams. DUSTIN SITAR had the game-winning goal for TCU, while Horned Frogs' two-sport star NICK BROWNE finished the season as the team's points leader (13). Browne is also TCU's football placekicker and leads the football team in scoring with 57 points.
UAB No. 15 UAB suffered a 2-0 loss to East Carolina in the Nov. 9 regular season finale for both teams. Five UAB players either sat out or saw limited playing time in the matgch due to injury. The Blazers are the second seed in this week's tournament. This marks the third straight year that UAB has earned a first round bye in the Conference USA Tournament. MARTIN REY is climbing the school's record charts. He is fifth in goals (22), sixth points (59) and ninth in assists (15). FLAVIO MONTEIRO is sixth in goals (21), seventh in points (55) and 10th in assists (13).
