Tulsa senior GK Dominic Cervi was named Defensive Player of the week afetr registering 12 saves in league wins over Florida International and Marshall. Kentucky sophomore F Tim Crone earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after coming off the bench to score twice in a five-minute span to give the Wildcats their first-ever win over a No. 1 team, when UK downed SMU.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Crone scored two goals off the bench in a span of less than five minutes to lead Kentucky to a 2-1 upset over top-ranked SMU on Saturday. Crone came off the bench for the first time at the 58:44 mark and needed just 23 seconds to net a header inside the penalty area at the 59:07 mark, tying the game at 1-1. In the 65th minute, Crone struck again inside the penalty box, delivering the game-winning goal after heading the ball off the crossbar and into the goal. The two-goal game marked Crone's fourth and fifth goals of the season. Crone has missed UK's previous four games while nursing a hernia injury that will require surgery at the end of the season. This is his first C-USA Player of the Week honor.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Cervi picked up 12 saves on the weekend, helping the Golden Hurricane shutout FIU 6-0, and post a 2-1 win over Marshall. With the wins, TU is in contention for a C-USA regular season title. He owns 65 saves this season and 191 in his career. He has logged over 1350 minutes in goal this season for the Golden Hurricane and has only given up 15 goals for a 1.00 GAA. This is Cervi's third C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honor.
