C-USA Women's Tennis Player of the Week - Mar. 22

Ana Cetnik
  • Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week (March 22)

    Ana Cetnik, TCU
    So., Belgrade, Serbia

Ana Cetnik went a perfect 3-0 last week to help TCU improve to 12-1 overall this season, which is the best record to start the year since 1982-83 season. While teaming with Story Tweedie-Yates in doubles, the pair dominated No. 39 Jennifer Klaschka and Ann-Kristin Siljestrom, 8-2. They were able to win despite the fact that Cetnik served underhand due to a shoulder injury. Earlier in the week against Iowa, the 52nd ranked duo posted an 8-5 victory over Meg Racette and Hillary Mintz to help lead the team to the 5-2 win over the Hawkeyes. Overall this season, the tandem has posted an 11-1 overall record. In singles, Cetnik was pulled from her match against the Hawkeyes due to the injury. A day later against the Blue Raiders, the Belgrade, Serbia, native was the first to finish as she dominated Siljestrom, 6-1, 6-1, to help lead the Frogs to the 7-0 shutout, which was their third of the season.
