Tulsa Men's Tennis Team Drops 4-0 Decision to Fourth-Ranked Baylor in NCAA Second Round

Waco, Texas - The University of Tulsa's 34th-ranked men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to fourth-ranked Baylor in the second-round of NCAA Regionals on Sunday afternoon at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. This was the Golden Hurricane's eighth appearance in the NCAA tournament, and second time in school history that TU advanced to the second round. Tulsa concluded the season with an 18-11 mark.Baylor's 23rd-ranked Lars Poerschke and Michal Kokta tallied an 8-4 win over TU's 59th-ranked duo of sophomore Arnau Brugues and senior Aleksander Charpantidis in the No. 1 slot. Matt Brown and Matija Zgaga also captured an 8-4 victory in the No. 2 position, giving the Bears the doubles point. Tulsa's seventh-ranked Brugues (17-2) fell in just his second singles match of the season, as fourth-ranked Poerschke notched a 6-4, 6-3 win in the top singles slot.
