IRVING, Texas - Senior Sam Korbe of Tulsa and junior Lacey Jones of SMU are this week's Conference USA Golfers of the Week for tournament play through Oct. 17. Korbe led the Hurricane to the Oklahoma Intercollegiate team championship and fired a 219 to capture medalist honors. Jones finished second at the Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship after shooting an amazing 67 in round one, including a 31 on the front nine.

Men's Golfer of the Week
Sam Korbe - Tulsa (Senior, Springdale, Ariz.)
Tulsa senior Sam Korbe captured medalist honors and led the Hurricane to the team championship in a field of eight teams and 46 participants at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate on Tuesday. He carded rounds of 72-71-76 for a six-over par 219 total at the par-71 Oak Tree Country Club course in Edmond, Okla. It was Korbe's second career title and his 12th career top-15 performance.

Women's Golfer of the Week
Lacey Jones - SMU (Junior, Idabel, Okla.)
SMU junior Lacey Jones finished second at the Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn., after carding a 3-over par 216 (67-73-76). Jones blistered the course in round one, shooting an amazing 67 including a 31 on the front nine. She led the team to a ninth-place finish in the loaded 15-team field.
