Volleyball Camps Begin In July
June 18, 2007 The Butler volleyball team's summer camp schedule kicks off in July, as the Bulldogs will offer four different summer camps throughout the month. The Bulldogs will host the Junior Bulldog Skills Camp from July 9-12, which is targeted for young and middle school players and concentrates on the development of fundamental skills. The following week, Butler hosts its Nike High Potential Individual Skills Camp from July 16-19. Offered for players in grades 6-12, the camp is geared towards high school varsity players with a commitment to the sport and the ability and motivation to play in college. High school teams get a chance to take the court soon after, as the High School Team Building Camp gets underway from July 19-21. The camp gives teams an opportunity to train and compete together prior to the start of the school year while working on competition, position training and competitive drill instruction. The summer camps conclude with the fourth camp of the season, as the volleyball team joins forces with the Butler women's basketball team to host the Volleyball/Basketball Day Camp from July 23-27. The camp will feature skill development and instruction with focus on fundamentals, drills and team play for both sports.
