Oct. 6, 2006

Box Score

Indianapolis, Ind. - Porshia Allen notched her fifth double-double of the season and Krystal Hendrix and Stephanie Steele added match-high blocking totals, but Cleveland State used timely hitting to oust the host Bulldogs 3-0 at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Friday (Oct. 6) night.

Allen recorded 14 kills and 10 digs for the Bulldogs, while Hendrix and Steele each registered six total blocks to lead all players, but the Vikings used .256 hitting, including .600 in the second game, to hold off the Bulldogs in their first Horizon League home match of the year.

With her six total blocks on the night, Hendrix now touts 408 career total blocks and is now just one block behind Keely Norris (409) for sixth-place on Butler's all-time list.

The Bulldogs doubled-up CSU with eight blocks to the Vikings' four, the 14th-time this season that they have out-blocked their opponent.

Butler returns to Hinkle Fieldhouse Saturday (Oct. 7) afternoon when they host Youngstown State beginning at 4:00 p.m.
