Bulldogs Breeze by UIC in Three Games

The Bulldogs capped off a successful weekend in Chicago with a 30-21, 30-18, 30-27 win over UIC Saturday afternoon. With wins over Loyola and the Flames this weekend, Butler improves to 10-6 overall and 2-0 in league play. Junior Kali Carter registered a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs, while Megan Knightly added eight kills and 13 digs. The loss drops UIC to 7-10 (0-2).
Senior setter Amanda Matthews had 31 assists for the Bulldogs, while freshman libero Alyssa Cress led the team in digs for the second consecutive match. She's registered double figures in digs in 14 of the team's 16 matches. Hendrix added seven kills on the afternoon. The Bulldogs take a break from Horizon League action for a match-up against IUPUI Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The team returns to Hinkle Fieldhouse Friday night against Horizon League foe Wright State. That match begins at 7 p.m. |
