UIC Downs Butler

Butler gave two wins to UIC in Monday's doubleheader

Two disappointing losses Monday leave Butler with a 9-30 overall record (4-6 Horizon League). Butler started Game 1 with an RBI from senior Jamie Bradley, but never catch up to UIC after a 6-run rally in the third inning. UIC topped off the game with a 9-run push in the seventh to end the game 16-6.

In Game 2, Butler led 2-0 until UIC took charge in the third inning with a 3-run homerun by Amanda Rivera, who had three homeruns in the matchup. UIC continued to score against the Bulldogs and finished the game with 9 runs to Butler's 2. The game was called in the sixth inning due to darkness.

Butler will play at Eastern Illinois on Tuesday.
