Bulldogs Fall To Wisconsin-Green Bay In Horizon League Tournament, 86-51

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) - Chandra Johnson scored 15 points and Kristy Loiselle added 14 as top-seeded Wisconsin-Green Bay began its defense of the Horizon League tournament title by beating Butler 86-51 Thursday night.

The No. 21 Phoenix (25-3) won their 38th straight game against a conference opponent and are trying to play in the tournament's championship game for the eighth straight year. Wisconsin-Green Bay will play Friday against the winner of Thursday night's game between Wright State and Loyola of Chicago.

Wisconsin-Green Bay scored the first seven points of the game and never looked back, shooting a season-high 60.8 percent from the floor.

The Phoenix made 15 of 21 shots from the floor (71.4 percent) in the first half while holding Butler (6-23) to 22.2 percent shooting (6 of 27). The Phoenix led 44-19 at halftime.

Wisconsin-Green Bay stretched its lead to as many as 40 points in the second half.

Sara Boyer had 12 points and Abby Scharlow 11 as 11 players scored for the Phoenix.

Lisa Pryor led Butler with 16 points, including 13 in the first half.
