Player Of The Year Low Leads Three Bulldogs On All-League Teams

Indianapolis, Ind. - Butler senior James Low led a trio of Bulldogs with accolades from the Horizon League at the pre-championship banquet on Friday (April 27) evening, earning the highest recognition as the league's Male Player of the Year. Junior Eric Breitenbach joined Low on the all-league first team, while senior Evan West was tabbed to the all-league second squad.

Low, the Bulldogs' No. 1 singles player throughout the spring, wrapped up the regular season with an 11-9 mark at the top spot while going 4-1 in conference play. He added 12 wins in doubles play with a perfect 5-0 slate against league foes and was named the league's player of the week twice.

Breitenbach played the majority the year at the No. 2 singles spot, earning a 12-9 record in singles play and a 4-1 mark in league play while earning 11 victories in doubles competition. He was also named the league's player of the week once.

West, the Bulldogs' regular No. 3 singles player, posted a 12-8 record in singles play and a 4-1 mark against league foes while earning player of the week honors once.

Butler opens up the Horizon League Championship as the top seed in the tournament on Saturday (April 28) and will take on the winner of the match between No. 4 Wright State and No. 5 UW-Green Bay.
