Bulldogs' Title Quest Pushed Back to Sunday Due to Weather

April 23, 2005

Bad weather has moved this weekend's Horizon League Championships from North Central High School's tennis complex in Indianapolis to several indoor facilities around town. Due to this, Butler's scheduled Saturday semifinals match has been postponed until Sunday.

Butler will face the winner of the UW-Green Bay/Youngstown State match Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Racquet Club East. UWGB and YSU had been scheduled to play at 11 a.m. Saturday morning, but didn't begin their match until early Saturday evening.

If Butler were to advance, the championship match is set for 7 p.m. Sunday at the Carmel Racquet Club in Carmel, Ind., just north of Indianapolis. The women's championship match will also be played at that time at the CRC.

Butler enters the 2005 Horizon League Championships as the top seed after posting a 5-0 league record this season. Butler is in search of its fourth straight league title and seventh in the last eight years.
