Eric Breitenbach Named Horizon League Player Of The Week
March 8, 2007 Indianapolis, Ind. - After posting a dominant performance at singles and doubles last week, Butler junior Eric Breitenbach was named the Horizon League's Men's Tennis Player of the Week. The league office made the announcement on Thursday (March 8). Breitenbach went undefeated last week in helping the Bulldogs two a pair of dual meet victories. He notched a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles against Xavier and teamed up with Sandy Berry for a 9-8 (6) doubles win to help clinch Butler's win over the Musketeers. He then scored a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles over UW-Green Bay and added an 8-3 win with Berry at No. 2 doubles. Butler returns to action on March 24 when they take on Indiana State beginning at 1:00 p.m.
