No. 43 Michigan Tops Butler, 7-0, in Saturday Action

March 12, 2005

The Bulldogs faced a tough task Saturday morning, traveling north to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face No. 43 Michigan. The host Wolverines pulled off a 7-0 in the dual match. Junior Andy Bartish used a second-set tiebreaker to force a super tiebreaker, but fell 10-6 in the deciding set. Michigan is the sixth Big Ten opponent on Butler's schedule this spring. The Bulldogs now stand at 7-11 on the season.

Butler returns to action Sunday in Indianapolis against UIC, hosting the Horizon League rival in the Butler Bubble at noon. The Bulldogs have won their only other conference match so far this season.
