Evan West scored a two-set victory at No. 4 singles and James Low and Eric Breitenbach put up fierce showings at No. 1 and No. 2, but No. 34 Kentucky held off the visiting Bulldogs, claiming a 5-1 victory at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex on Saturday (Feb. 17) evening.

West notched Butler's lone win on the day, defeating Kenny Hodge by a 7-5, 6-3 score.

Meanwhile, Low battled back from a first-set loss to claim a strong 6-1 decision in the second set against #89 Bruno Agostinelli. Low would fall short in the decisive set, however, falling 6-3.
