Men's Tennis Claims Strong, 5-2, Win Over IUPUI

Indianapolis, Ind. - The Butler men's tennis team opened up the spring season at home against IUPUI on Friday (Jan. 19) and scored a convincing 5-2 victory over the cross-town rival Jaguars on the heels of four two-set singles wins. The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point thanks to strong 8-3 showings by No. 1 duo James Low and Ben Raynauld and No. 2 pair Eric Breitenbach and Sandy Berry. At No. 2 singles, Evan West scored a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Javier Saab, while No. 3 Breitenbach added a 6-1, 6-3 decision over Ross Gehlhausen. Raynauld scored a dominant 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles, ousting Gregory Sosa, and Berry chipped in with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 5 over Greg Fallowfield. The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday (Jan. 20) when they head to Ann Arbor, Mich. to face the No. 32 Wolverines at Varsity Tennis Center. Singles
