Kevin Sasena Named Horizon League Athlete of the Week
March 24, 2006 Butler freshman Kevin Sasena, who shot an even par 72 at the weather-shortened Butler Spring Invitational, has been named Horizon League Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for the week of March 20. The first-year golfer placed runner-up in the six-team tournament. Sasena shot identical scores of 36 on the front and back nine at frigid Broadmoor Country Club and finished two strokes behind medalist Joe Young of Cincinnati. It was Sasena's best round of the young spring season, and it matched his best round from the fall season. Butler placed third in the tournament, one stroke behind runner-up Indianapolis and three strokes behind tournament champ Cincinnati.
