Dayton Shuts Out Butler, 61-0

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -Kevin Hoyng completed 15-of-18 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns to lead Dayton's 61-0 rout of Butler on Saturday. The Flyers (9-1, 5-1 Pioneer League) bolted to a 41-0 first-half lead on touchdown passes from Hoying to Jack O'Dell and Justin Watkins. Ben Shappie also had two scores on runs of 11 yards and and 24 yards in the half. Shappie finished with 56 yards on just six carries. Matt Kobli completed 11-of-23 passes for 66 yards for the Bulldogs (4-6, 0-6), while Dan Bohrer rushed for 44 hards on just four carries.
