Andrew Sherman Named League Track Athlete Of The Week

April 13, 2005

Senior Andrew Sherman, who broke his own school record at the Miami Invitational, has been named Horizon League Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 11. He's the second member of the Butler men's track team to be honored this spring.

Sherman won the 800 meter run at the Miami Invitational for the second consecutive year. He posted a winning time of 1:50.32, breaking the Butler record of 1:50.88 that he set at Miami a year ago. His time also topped the NCAA Regional Qualifying standard.

Earlier this spring, Butler junior Scott Overall was honored as Horizon League Men's Track Athlete of the Week.
