Bucknell Women's Cross Country Team Recognized by Intercollegiate Coaches Association
May 8, 2006 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2005 All-Academic Team, where Bucknell stands 68th on the national list with a team cumulative grade-point-average of 3.310. Junior Jenny Stevens (Laceyville, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) received an national individual ranking of 61st. Topping the team list of 116 was Mississippi State with a group GPA of 3.780. Bucknell, also ranking as one of the top academic squads in the region, surpassed all other Patriot League schools on the national list, with Navy as the second-highest ranked PL school, in 100th place, with a GPA of 3.170. Stevens is majoring in mathematics and currently carries a GPA of 3.360. In the 2005 competitive season, the Bison captured its first PL cross country title since 2001. |
