2002-03: [Indoors] -- Ran in nine events, competing predominantly in the long jump, but also in the high jump, 55m, 60m, and 200m dash ... won the long jump four times, at the Gulden Relays, Bucknell Octagonal, Bucknell Winter Classic, and Patriot League Championships ... personal best, Gerhard Fieldhouse record and school record was 25' at the Bucknell Octagonal ... set personal best running the 200m in 21.80 seconds at the Kent State meet ... finished fourth in the 200 at the league finals ... became an NCAA provisional qualifier in the long jump and took seventh in the event at the USATF indoor nationals. [Outdoors] -- Ran in six meets in the 100m, 200m, and long jump ... won the 100m and long jump twice, at the Patriot League Championships as well as the Colonial Relays ... won the 200m race at the Bison Outdoor Classic with a time of 21.39 and finished second in the event at the league finals (21.46) ... three-time PL Track/Field Athlete of the Week. 2001-02: [Indoors] -- In 200m placed sixth at PL Championships (22:46) ... long jump placed first (24'1 3/4"). [Outdoors] -- Named outstanding male track athlete at 2002 PL Championships ... placed first in the 100m (10.72), 200m (21.48) and long jump (24'8 1/4")... Participated in the 4x100 to place first at PLs (41.57). 2000-01: [Indoors] -- Second (22.36) in the 200 meters at the PL Championships ... clocked a 22.20 in the 200 meters at a home quad meet ... third in the long jump (23'8") at the PL Championships. [Outdoors] - Won the long jump at the James Madison Invitational (24'8 1/4") ... placed second in the long jump at the league finals (23'11 1/2") ... helped 400m relay team finish second at the PL Championships (41.63) ...took the silver medal in the 100 meters at the PL Championships (10.81), while finishing third in the 200 meters (22.25). Personal: Son of Dennis and Vinett Steigerwalt ... graduated from Tamaqua High School ... won seven varsity letters including three in football, two in basketball and two in track ... state medal-winner in track ...established the Tamaqua career record for most receiving yardage in football, and was a first-team All-Schuylkill County selection ... elementary education major.
