Altman and Bauer Among Leaders in Career Patriot League Championship Points

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell swimming and diving senior Lectie Altman finished as the career point leader for the women and senior Todd Bauer was second for the men's class of 2006 in Patriot League Championship competition.

Altman finished with 208 career points, the highest total for any female senior from the eight schools in the Patriot League. Bauer scored 43 points at the 2005-06 Patriot League Championships, giving him a total of 153 points in league championship competition over his four year-career, and ranking him second among the men's seniors.

At this year's league meet, Altman scored 51 points, capturing her third career gold in the 200 back with a time of 2:00.87, winning bronze in the 100 back with a time of 57.74, and breaking her own school record in the 200 free in 1:52.74, good for fourth in the event.

At the 2005-06 Championships, Bauer finished second in the preliminaries for the 500 free with a time of 4:33.33, surpassing the previous school record of 4:34.05 set by Bucknell Hall of Fame member Jim Harvey in 1986. He went on to take fourth in the finals with a time of 4:35.11. In the 1650 free, he earned a bronze medal and improved his personal best time to 16:07.93, which ranks second all-time in program history. He also set a new Bucknell top-10 mark in the 200 free with the sixth-best time of 1:42.07 and finished sixth in the event.

The Bison women's swimming and diving team won its fourth-straight Patriot League title this past weekend while the men finished third in team scoring in the meet.
