Freeman, Mannix Compete at NCAA Zone "A" Diving Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Bison divers Adam Freeman and Erika Mannix competed for spots at the NCAA Championships on Friday at the NCAA Zone "A" Diving Championships in Annapolis, Md. Both Bison failed to qualify for nationals as Freeman finished 21st in the men's one-meter competition and Mannix placed 39th in the women's three-meter field.

Freeman scored a total of 230.85 in the preliminary, narrowly missing a spot in the 18-competitor final. Pittsburgh's Denis Nemtsanov topped the field with Navy's Kevin Teague in second place.

Mannix tallied a score of 174.50 in the prelim. Alison Riccobono of Penn State won the event with Melanie Loftus of Yale taking second.

Competition concludes tomorrow with the men's three-meter and the women's one-meter. The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
