Bucknell Women Parked in Seventh on Day Two of ECAC Championships

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - On day two of the ECAC Championships, the Bison women continue to stand in seventh place, while the men's squad places 19th out of 48 teams.

"We did not bring a full squad to ECAC's," stated head coach Jerry Foley. "The members of the swimming and diving teams that came to the championship came to improve on individual goals and hopefully excel in qualifying for nationals."

In the 100 breaststroke, Jamie Flick captured a time of 1:04.91 for a third place finish. The Bison 200 medley relay squad finished the race third with a time of 1:47.59. The medley relay team included Lectie Altman, Flick, Lauren Mosler and Meghan Freese.

With a time of 59.34, Tricia Rado placed sixth in the 100 backstroke, while Altman followed with a time of 59.37 (7th). Daniela Faas, Altman, Jackie Feinthel and Rebecca Dolan clocked in at 7:48.15 for an eighth place finish in the 800 freestyle relay. Feinthel also competed in the 400 IM and finished with a time of 4:40.93 (15th) and Dolan finished the 200 freestyle in 1:56.92 (15th).

On the men's side, Mark Kretzer finished the 100 butterfly with a time of 51.93 (14th). Kretzer, William Schilling, Dean Deluca and Brian Cole finished the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.07 (14th). With a time of 7:15.31 (16th), Kretzer, Kurt McCoy, Schilling and Ryan Fisher placed sixteenth in the 800 freestyle relay.

Bucknell swimming and diving will complete day three of the ECAC Championships on Sunday, Mar. 2.
