EASTON, Pa. - Senior Charlie Waddell (Wilmette, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) topped the field with a 2-under-par 70 on Saturday at the Lafayette Invitational and was declared the winner when Sunday's final round was cancelled due to impending inclement weather. Bucknell shot 307 as a team and finished in second place.

Waddell, who shot a sizzling 33 on the front nine at Center Valley GC, won his fourth career individual title, with two of them coming at the Patriot League Championship. He will go for a third straight Patriot League title next weekend at West Point.

Alan Borowsky of first-place Lehigh was the only other player in red numbers, carding a 1-under 70 to finish one shot behind Waddell.

Rahul Desai (Avon, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford) also had a strong day for the Bison, shooting 75 to finish in a tie for fourth place, his best career finish.

Also for Bucknell, Keita Aoki (Tokyo, Japan/St. Mary's International School) shot 80, Jeff Pike (Rye, N.Y./Rye) had 82 and Brian Bartow (Rye, N.Y./Rye Neck) 83.

Lehigh's score of 300 was good for the team championship. Rounding out the top 10 were Bucknell, Siena (309), Saint Francis (310), Long Island (313), Canisius (316), Monmouth (319), Duquesne (319), Robert Morris (322), Niagara (322) and Fordham (322).
