Biros Named Ivy Offensive Player of the Week

Providence, RI - Sophomore Amie Biros (Bethesda, MD), of the Brown women's lacrosse team, was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week for her role in helping to lead the Bears to a 12-11 victory over Columbia.

Biros, who is currently tied for second on the team with 16 points (14g, 2a) notched four goals and one assist in Brown's victory, including the game-winning goal with 59 seconds left to play. She also added three ground balls and a team-high four draw controls, while causing two turnovers. All four of her goals came at key moments. She scored goals to put Brown up 4,3 8-6, 10-8, and then 12-11.

Brown will look for its second straight Ivy win this Friday when it travels to Ithaca, NY to face Cornell at 4:00 p.m.
