Link Named USCHO Player of the Week

Freshman Jessica Link (Clifton Park, NY) was named US College Hockey Online's Player of the Week on March 6. Link was awarded the weekly honor following a solid weekend performance against Princeton and Yale, where she recorded five total points in the two games.

On Friday March 1, Link tallied two goals against Princeton, including the game-winner, as Brown defeated the Tigers 4-1. The rookie returned to the ice on Saturday afternoon, to record two goals and one assist in Brown's 9-0 rout over Yale. Link completes the regular season with 15 goals, 17 assists, for 32 points, ranking her third on the team in total points.

Brown (20-7-2, 12-3-1) opens the 2002 ECAC JPMorgan Chase Hockey Championship on Friday March 8. Th Bears will skate against the Yale Bulldogs in a best of three game series, beginning Friday night at Meehan Auditorium. Game times are set for 7:00pm on Friday March 8 and 9, while Game 3, if necessary, will be held at 4:00pm.
