Columbus, OH - The Brown women's crew went 6-3 overall in races against Ohio State, Rutgers and Michigan on Saturday. The Bears' sixth ranked varsity eight was defeated by the seventh-ranked Buckeyes, 6:41.1-6:46.9, in its first race of the day. Rutgers finished a distance third with a time of 7:00.8. Later in the day, Brown went head-to-head with Michigan, which picked up its second victory of the day with a 6:45.2-6:51.1 win in the varsity eight. The Bears first novice eight squad went 2-0 on the day, including a ten-second win over Ohio State in the morning. The second varsity eight was edged out by Ohio State but easily defeated Rutgers and Michigan to finish 2-1 on the day. Brown's varsity four did not compete.
