PROVIDENCE, RI - Michelle Eisenreich, an assistant track and field/cross-country coach at Colgate University for the past two years, has recently been named a new assistant track and field coach at Brown University.
Eisenreich, who was involved with almost every aspect of Colgate's track program, brings a wealth of experience to Brown. She has coached and trained athletes in all field events, and has extensive knowledge in weight training and exercise physiology as well. In addition to her coaching ability, Eisenreich is a veteran recruiter who established and designed the current recruiting program for track and cross-country at Colgate. Prior to 1998, Eisenreich worked as a volunteer assistant for the women's track team at Purdue University. She gained valuable coaching experience and was responsible for organizing and supervising coaches, athletes, practices and meets at the Purdue Area Track Club. A graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, Eisenreich received many honors for her participation in track and field, including being named All-American for discus in 1995. She was the Conference Champion for the indoor shot in 1994-95, for the outdoor shot in 1995, and for the discus in 1995-96. She was also named the MIAC outdoor track and field championship Athlete of the Meet in 1995. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Eisenreich earned a Masters of Science in Motor Learning and Development from Purdue, as well as a USATF Level II Cerification in Jumps from Purdue last August. |
