The Brown men's indoor track and field team took home eighth place at the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York last weekend.

The top finisher for the Bears was junior Brad Bowery (Hamden, CT), who placed third in the pole vault at a height of 4.8 meters (15'09.00"). Junior James Brown (Dana Point, CA) ran to a fourth place finish in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking in at 8.34, only two tenths of a second out of first place.

The 4x800 meter relay team captured fifth place with a time of 7:57.15, while the distance medley team of Peter Hollatz (Exline, IA), Langston Dugger (Boston, MA), Mike Keefrider (Guilderland, NY) and Chad Buechel (Pittsburgh, PA) ran to a fifth place finish in a time of 10:04.26.

Overall, Brown ended in eighth place out of twenty teams with 20 points. Ohio State took first with 124 points, and the University of South Carolina earned second with 104 points.
