Women's Soccer Adds Two Student-Athletes to 2007 Lineup
BOSTON – The Boston University women’s soccer program and head coach Nancy Feldman have announced the addition of two additions for the 2007 fall recruiting class. Stephanie Croghan (McLean, Va.) and Kara Ruggiero (Braintree, Mass.) will join a program that returns eight starters from 2006 and finished 13-5-3 overall with an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. Croghan, a four-year Olympic Development participant, was a member of the highly successful RFC Rockets Club based in Virginia. She attended Potomac High School where she earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior. In addition, she earned Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention accolades as a junior, while leading the squad to the District Championship. Ruggiero led her Braintree High School squad to the State Championship as both a junior and senior. She earned Bay State League All-Star honors all four years and was an All-Scholastic selection in 2004. Ruggerio played for the South Coast Scorpians and over the last few years has amassed multiple state championships. Croghan and Ruggiero will be joining Angelina Cords (Leonardtown, Md.), Lily Albin (Shoreline, Wash.), Tiya Gallegos (Lakewood, Calif.), Brittany Heist (Lancaster, N.Y.) and Cynthia Warman (Maple Grove, Minn.) as the incoming freshman class.
