NEWARK, DE (September 26) -- Freshman forward Angela Jamieson (Goolwa, Australia) scored two goals and senior forward Jacyln Mele (Fairfield, NJ) added a goal and assist to lead No. 15 Boston University,(6-1, 3-0), past the University of Delaware (3-5, 0-2), 4-1, in America East play Sunday afternoon.

Senior co-captain Samantha Stuart (Bridgton, ME) scored the Terriers first goal of the game off of a penalty corner, 5:11 into the contest with assists from junior forward Kate Cusick (Allentown, PA) and Mele. Delaware's Mia Callahan tied the game at, 1-1, with her goal on a penalty stroke at 27:02 of the second half.

Sally Starr's squad responded with three unanswered goals for the 4-1 conference win. Mele scored what proved to be the game-winner at 21:42; while Jamieson notched, the first multi-goal game of her career with, a tally at 13:46 from senior co-captain Tina McDavitt (Walpole, MA) and an unassisted insurance score at 9:46.

Delaware goalie Kelly Ottati led the Blue Hens with 14 saves. B.U.'s usual tandem of senior Noreen Flanagan (Red Bank, NJ) and sophomore Susan Harrington (Tuftonboro, NH) each recorded two saves in 35 minutes of action.

The Terriers outshot the Blue Hens, 23-7, and held the advantage in penalty corner situations, 17-5.

B.U. is now 4-1 all-time versus Delaware.

The Terriers are back in action on Wednesday, September 29 when they host the University of Vermont at 7 p.m. on Nickerson Field.

GAME NOTES: The Terriers are 6-1 for the first time since the 1996 season when the team finished 17-5-0...Senior forward Danielle DeCoste's personal three-game scoring streak came to end on Sunday. She had recorded three consecutive multiple point games (3-3-9) and moved into an 11th place tie on the Terriers all-time scoring list with (19 goals-14 assists-52 points) with Sally Maxwell 90 (18-16-52); Kate Cusick (20-9-49) moved into 13th place on the Terriers all-time scoring list... Senior forward Jessica Alcorta (Demarest, NJ) remains tied with Chris LaPointe 94 for fifth on the Terriers all-time assists list with 33...Twelve different Terriers have notched at least one point this season...
