BOSTON - After turning in the best performance of her young career, freshman Jesyka Burks-Wiley was named the America East Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, it was announced by the conference office on Monday. Burks-Wiley tallied personal highs of 20 points and 15 rebounds in the Terriers' 69-52 win over Albany on Tuesday.

In front of over 1,000 Boston area schoolchilden during the Terriers' first ever Field Trip Day, Burks-Wiley made her first career start and was impressive on both ends of the floor against the Great Danes. She shot 6-for-11 from the floor and went 8-of-9 from the charity while recording a career-best three blocks.

On Sunday at Agganis Arena, Burks-Wiley recorded six points and four rebounds in a 80-61 triumph over Maine.

Burks-Wiley has stepped up her play against conference opponents, averaging 7.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest while shooting over 47 percent from the floor. Overall, the rookie is averaging 6.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
