Michael Leflar enters his fifth season as an assistant coach on the Boston University women's basketball staff and has helped guide the Terriers to a 68-55 record over four seasons and three appearances in the America East title game. Leflar's primary responsibilities include coordinating the Terriers' recruiting efforts, developing the perimeter players and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the program. Before arriving at BU, Leflar spent one year working under head coach Kelly Greenberg at the University of Pennsylvania, as the Quakers posted a 17-10 overall record, won the Ivy League title and reached the NCAA tournament. "Mike knows the game and has a very competitive nature," said Greenberg. "He's had a great effect on the players." Before Penn, Leflar worked for a year as a graduate intern in the Lafayette College athletic communications office. No stranger to Boston, Leflar received a bachelor's degree in communications from Boston College in 2002. While at BC, Leflar worked as a practice assistant and scout team member for the women's basketball team and as a recruiting assistant for the men's basketball team. |
