Agnes Gerlach-Miller enters her 13th season of coaching the divers at BU. She has earned the America East Diving Coach of the Year on the men's side from 2002-05, was named the women's diving coach of the year in 2003 and 2006 and most recently was honored as a part of the 2008 AE Coaching Staff of the Year.

Most recently, Gerlach-Miller's divers swept both boards at the 2008 conference championship as Andre Watson and Tanner Knorr took top honors on the one- and three-meter boards, respectively, while Tess Waresmith claimed both the 1M and 3M for the women.

Watson broke all but two records in his first season at BU and finished with one of the best individual male diving performances in BU program history with his fourth-place finish at the 2008 Zone A Diving Championship. Waresmith, who went undefeated on both boards, placed 24th overall on the 3M at the NCAA Championships after qualifying with a third-place finish at zones. Waresmith currently holds two school and two pool records at BU.

In addition to training for five years at the DI level, Agnes was a member of the Hungarian National Team for 10 years, representing Hungary at the 1988 (Seoul) and 1992 (Barcelona) Olympics on the 3M. She was also a finalist in the following competitions: 1993 World University Games, (1M and 3M), 1990 World Cup (3M), 1985 and 1991 European Championships (3M), and the 1986 World Championships (3M).

A competitive diver since the age of four, Agnes comes from a family with a strong history in diving. Her father, Istvan Gerlach, was her coach while he led the Hungarian National Team. He is now the National Team coach in Qatar. Her uncle, Joe Gerlach, represented the University of Michigan during his years in the United States and placed fourth at the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne on the platform. In addition, her brother was a Junior European Champion and placed fourth at the Junior World Championships.

A two-time NCAA All-American and three-time ACC Diver of the Year at NC State, Gerlach-Miller was a three-time ACC champion on the three-meter and also claimed the one-meter title.
