BREAK IS OVER: The Great Lakes Invitational marks an end to the Terriers' first-semester break. The team has been off since December 10th when they skated to a 4-1 win over Rensselaer. This was the team's longest break of the year. AN IMPRESSIVE GLI FIELD: This year's GLI brings together one of the most impressive fields in the 38-year history of the tournament. In addition to the Terriers, the field includes the traditional trio of host Michigan Tech, Michigan State, and Michigan. The four teams have 83 combined NCAA Tournament appearances, while they have 16 national titles. Michigan leads the way with nine, while the Terriers are second with four, Michigan Tech has won three, and Michigan State has won two. IMPRESSIVE ARRAY OF COACHES: As impressive as the teams are, the four coaches have amassed equally impressive credentials. The four include the Terriers' Jack Parker, Michigan Tech's Mike Sertich, Michigan's Red Berenson, and Michigan States' Rick Comley. This group represents 100 years of coaching-Parker and Comley are both in their 30th year, while Sertich is in his 21st year and Berenson is in his 19th season.
