Brittain, Canada Fall to Spain, 83-69, In FIBA U19 World Championships

BOSTON - Sophomore forward Scott Brittain pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, but Canada's U-19 team fell, 83-69, in its first action in the Eighth Finals Monday afternoon in the FIBA World Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia.

The forward played 28 minutes, going three-for-nine from the floor for six points to go with his eight rebounds. Brittain scored the opening bucket, but Spain held a 21-16 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 41-34 advantage at the half.

Canada faces Korea tomorrow, July 17 at 3:45 p.m. (9:45 a.m. EST).
