Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

 

Diane Nukuri, Iowa

Sr., Toronto, Ontario/Butler County CC

 

Nukuri covered the 4,000-meter course in 13:14 to win the Hawkeye Invitational and set a new course record. The Toronto, Ontario, native shattered the Ashton Cross Country record by nearly one minute (14:09 previous course record) as they Hawkeyes captured the event crown. This is Nukuri's second career weekly conference laurel.

Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

 

Trent Hoerr, Illinois

Sr., Morton, Ill./Morton

 

Hoerr captured the 8K individual title and led Illinois to the team title at the 22-team Illinois Intercollegiate Championships last weekend. The Morton, Ill., native ran a personal best time of 23:54, placing him on the Top-10 Illinois Times by Distance Record. Hoerr earns the first weekly accolade of his career.
