WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Leatherman earns Athlete of the Week honors meeting three NCAA regional qualifying standards for the second time this season. The 2005 All-America senior broke the Pepsi Invitational meet record in the hammer throw with a toss of 205'05" (62.61 meters), good enough for first place. She went on to claim victories in the discus and shot put, notching distances of 161'03" (49.15 meters) and 51'06 1/2" (15.70 meters), respectively. Leatherman also earned weekly laurels on March 28 after recording three regional qualifying marks in the discus, hammer throw and shot put. She currently leads the Big Ten in each of the three events. This is her fourth career weekly accolade.
