Mensah earns Athlete of the Week honors after recording an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 60-meter dash for the second consecutive week. She earned first-place with a time of 7.41. In the first triple jump performance of her career, Mensah notched another provisional mark with a leap of 13.21 meters and claimed first. The Surrey, B.C., native also took second in the 200-metere dash in 24.15. Mensah is the first Illini to be named indoor Athlete of the Week since she garnered the honor on Jan. 25, 2005.
