Wisconsin Men Nab Second Place Finish at NCAA Championships

Individual Results: Men / Women Wisconsin placed second with 142 points, marking the team's fourth runner-up finish in the past five seasons. Colorado took home the team championship, its second in three years, with 94 points. The Buffaloes previously bested the Badgers at the 2004 NCAA Championship when they won the team title and Wisconsin placed second. For the Badgers, sophomore Stu Eagon led the way, placing 11th overall in 31:13 to earn his second-career All-America honors. Also placing in the top 25 and earning All-America honors were senior Tim Nelson (31:24) and sophomore Matt Withrow (31:26). The honors were the second in their careers for both Nelson and Withrow. Rounding out the scoring for the Badgers were senior Chris Solinsky (32:15) and true freshman Craig Miller (32:30). Wisconsin's runners were 7-9-13-49-64 in the team competition. Also punching in a top-20 individual time was Minnesota sophomore Chris Rombough who finished the 10K at 31:16.9 for 14th place.
