Demi Omole, Wisconsin

Omole picks up his second career outdoor honor after taking home two event wins in NCAA Regional qualifying times at the Auburn Tiger Classic over the weekend. The senior ran the 100 meters in a time of 10.22, which gives him the fastest time in the conference and the second-fastest time in the nation this season. Omole was also part of the first-place 4x100 relay team which clocked in at 40.64. The award marks the second time a Badger track athlete has been honored this season and the second career accolade for Omole, who was also recognized on May 9, 2005.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
A.J. Curtis, Iowa
So., Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead
Curtis receives his first career weekly award after setting a school record with a discus throw of 202'11" at the Central College Invitational on Saturday. The sophomore's toss broke the Iowa school record, set in 1986, by seven inches and smashed his personal best by 29 feet. Curtis' throw currently ranks third in the nation and first in the Big Ten.
